Its for a 250 sq ft room its just not cooling as it should for a small bedroom. But the prices went up so ge provides with help so I'll respond back in a few months to update to see about the rebate. Very understanding and easy to get a response fast! Thank you get for your time!

The installation was done by my daughter and grandson.Instructions were clear and the pleated extensions on each side made it fit perfectly in the window.From unboxing to turning on to cool the room took about 30 minutes.Runs quietly and cooled quickly.

Unit is only 3 years old and not generating any cooling. Yes the compressor is running. The controls seem to have a mind of their own. It drops out of "COOL" mode into "ECO" and then seems to not return to "COOL"

The 6000btu unit is serficent for a std. Had room. What the window size, the width especially, I ended up 3 + inches short on the pull out, had to make up parts to fill opening, also not supple were the rain boards to be placed on the extenders to keep from having dirt & rain come in. Only complants to date are with installation equipment, the unit does what is expected.

Is working well™€¦but™€¦

The air conditioner has been working just fine but has developed an issue that I cannot find an answer for in the instruction book that came with the product. The red blinking light that occurs when the filter needs cleaning. it™€™s suddenly flashing nonstop even after removing the filter and checking it and putting it back in because it was clean. Even when I turn off the air conditioner with the remote, the red light continues to flash. The only way to get the red light to stop flashing is to disconnect the cord from the outlet. I consulted the instruction booklet troubleshooting information but there is nothing concerning a flashing red light that won™€™t quit. I have not yet Contacted customer service/service department for help.

My central a/c went out only 6 months after my home purchase. Luckily it was winter so I could get by without it due to it still produced heat. But, when summer hit and I still didn't have enough to buy a new central system I decided to go with a GTE window a/c. It's 18,000 BTU and it cools the front part of the house. I bought this 6,000 BTU to put in the rear of the house and I love it just as much as the first one. Magnificent machines they are and I could go for years w/o the central if I had to. I always purchase the ECO friendly ones and my electric bill stays so low because of that.
